Your Eyes...do they need special care?
Mar 06, 2006
Some Facts:
- Because your eye area contains almost no sebaceous glands, it makes it extremely susceptible to dryness so use a lightweight moisturizer specifically formulated for around your eyes.
- NEVER apply an eye cream directly next to the eye or on the eyelid. Proper application should not go past the eye bone. Using your ring finger, apply moisturizer in a circle around the eye area, with a light touch and ensure your finger is travelling towards your nose.
- If you suffer from puffy eyes, keep your eye cream in the fridge and apply cold to the skin which will help to promote drainage. Reducing your salt intake and avoiding fluids before bed can also help.
